We Shall be using the opportunity to showcase the UK launch of many new ranges including the small and dinky Anglepoise Type75 Mini in a range of exciting and vibrant new colours. Both in an E14 version, or using our new and exciting LED module. We shall also be showing a prototype of its larger brother, the Type75 Maxi. A highly flexible floorstanding light, again using the new LED module. We have also added a fresh selection of colours to the Type1228 ranges, to brighten up any interior. For those who are looking for something completely different look no further than the Giant1227 wall light, based around the highly popular and oversized Giant 1227.
The show organisers have said the following about the show ……..
Following its successful debut appearance at this year’s Salone del Mobile, Milan, designjunction london, will showcase the very best in global design during the London Design Festival.
Under the creative direction of celebrated British designer Michael Sodeau, designjunction london, will take over the impressive surrounds of Victoria House (Holborn, central London) with over 2,000 sqm of exhibition space. Bringing together a stellar line-up of leading UK and international lighting, furniture and accessories brands, the event is set to excite, inspire and challenge anyone with a passion for design.
Speaking about the philosophy behind the event, creative director, Micheal Sodeau, said:“designjunction was so well received in Milan that we wanted to bring it to London and create an event synonymous with creativity, originality and quality. designjunction will provide an important platform for visitors to source the latest products, trends and technologies from all over the world and meet directly with the manufacturers.”
“We believe London needs a design event that strikes the balance between being creative and commercial, moving away from the traditional trade show environment. We want to capture the imagination of trade and consumer audiences, offering a truly unique experience in the heart our creative capital” says Deborah Spencer, organiser of designjunction.
designjunction will provide a vibrant hub for international brands to showcase their work and meet directly with press, trade and consumer audiences. As well as temporary exhibition displays throughout the venue, designjunction will feature its own daily talk and seminar programme curated by Architectural Review as well as a pop-up bar and café. designjunction will host a late night PechaKucha evening on Friday 23 September with a star line-up of speakers in partnership with Klein Dytham architects.
