Housed within the early sixteenth-century Palazzo Galli Tassi in the heart of Florence, Numeroventi combines co-living and studio workspace for local and international artists, residents and guests. Working with designer Andrew Trotter of Open House Magazine, creator Martino di Napoli Rampolla has skillfully combined Scandinavian minimalist style with original detailing to maximize use of natural light and create a calm and contemplative ambience within the spacious apartments and studios. The seamless blend of old with new is most evident in Room 4, where two yellow ochre Anglepoise + Margaret Howell lamps sit in perfect harmony with the building’s original period details. The lamp features again in a second loft apartment – this one the epitome of stripped-back Scandinavian style – while a version in Seagrass appears in the Natural Light photography studio. At Numeroventi residents and guests can idle and dwell, enjoying an ever-changing tableau of featured artworks by Numeroventi’s residency artists.
