We are thrilled to announce our brand new collaboration with the\u00a0National Trust<\/a>\u00a0and the Anglepoise Original 1227 range. Launching in autumn 2021, the Anglepoise + National Trust collection comprises a table, a desk, and a floor lamp in Sage Green.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreen, as a colour and philosophy is at the heart of everything we do. We care for 500 places, including 250,000 hectares of countryside \u2013 from the peaks of Snowdonia and the Lake District, through to moorland, forests and parkland. Accessing these spaces has meant so much to so many, particularly in the past year, and we are thrilled that this collection will generate income to help us care for these special places for everyone forever and shine a light on some of the lesser known architectural gems.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Michaela Davies, Brand Licensing Manager, National Trust<\/p>\n

Through sales generated from the collection, Anglepoise will contribute a minimum of \u00a315,000 to the National Trust in 2021. The funds will help support restoration works at\u00a0The Homewood<\/strong><\/a>, a modernist villa designed by architect Patrick Gwynne and gifted to the National Trust in 1999.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe share the National Trust\u2019s care and passion for looking after treasured objects, places and landscapes. With this collaboration we want to shine a light on what we think is a hidden treasure trove of design – The Homewood – and generate funds that will help restore and maintain aspects of this incredibly special house and its wonderful grounds for future generations.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Simon Terry, Owner and Joint MD, Anglepoise.<\/p>\n

Located amid a picturesque woodland garden near Esher in Surrey, The Homewood was designed by Patrick Gwynne for his parents. The self-taught architect put his unique vision into every aspect of the early 20th-century country villa\u2019s design and details, including the furnishings, to produce an unconventional but luxurious family country villa. It was completed in the early summer of 1938 and Gwynne lived in the house for the rest of his life, continuing to keep the building fashionably up to date until his death in 2003.<\/p>\n

The Anglepoise + National Trust Collection will be available from www.anglepoise.com and John Lewis & Partners in the autumn.<\/strong><\/p>\n
