An intimate gathering of friends, former colleagues, design acolytes and well-wishers from across the industry assembled at the Margaret Howell flagship store on London\u2019s Wigmore Street for the occasion. In order to fully understand the breadth of Kenneth\u2019s achievements, there is perhaps no better way than through the words of esteemed journalist Barbara Chandler, Design Editor for the Evening Standard:<\/p>\n<p><strong>He can come to London on his &#8220;own&#8221; train, having first made a quick cup of tea in his &#8220;own kettle&#8221; (plus a slice of cake from his own mixer). He is wearing his &#8220;own&#8221; shirt, with his &#8220;own&#8221; pen and &#8220;own&#8221; sunglasses in the pocket &#8211; and maybe his &#8220;own&#8221; camera in his pocket. He queues for a bus under his &#8220;own&#8221; bus shelter, but then takes his &#8220;own&#8221; taxi&#8230;and so on.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Best love, Barbara&#8230;with keyboard illuminated by
