Set within a unique Grade 11 listed building in extensive landscaped grounds, Whitehouse is a co-working space by Bruntwood, which includes a large number of small to medium office suites at just 10 minutes’ drive from Warrington Central.
Originally converted to offices in the 1980’s, Bridge Architects were appointed to re-design the interior spaces and provide a new concept to facilitate the re-launch of the serviced office provision. Their proposals involved re-ordering the internal spaces to provide an enhance reception area and to rationalise meeting facilities along with interactive co-working spaces. With the aim of creating a boutique feel akin to a small luxury hotel, many of this impressive building’s original features were restored and suites were stylishly refurbished with new furniture, accessories and decorative lighting. Around 200 Type 75 desk lights in Margaret Howell Yellow Ochre Edition and Jet Black are installed on the desks. Combined with superfast internet, on-site parking and a coffee bar Whitehouse is now an ideal workplace solution for start-ups, entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Maria Sidebottom, Interior Designer, Bridge Architects says: “The concept was to emphasise the beautiful period features of the building and in the suites and to create the feel of a 'home from home'. The lighting was a key feature and as a classic British design, we felt the Anglepoise Type 75, was the perfect task lamp to add a touch of colour and accentuate the look of a study rather than a corporate office.“
