A Frame Ski-Lodge

Situated in Edsåsdalen near Åre in northern Sweden, Anders Smedberg built his A-frame ski lodge with a pre-fabricated frame and curved dormer windows. The triangular shape makes the house into a little mountain top in itself. The house is drawn in detail inside and out with custom made furniture and interiors made to enhance the A-frame structure. The house & its construction was premiered on Grand Design Sweden in 2021.

In the living room, the Anglepoise gold metallic Type 75 mini wall lights illuminate a large corner sofa and compliments with the natural wooden panels. In the sleeping areas, the simple lines of the Type 75 Mini Table sit comfortably in the serene atmosphere, leaving the surrounding landscape to steal the show.

“Me and the architect wanted rather to see the silhouette of the lamp than having a contrast against the rest of the interior. We wanted the light to have a light switch so that they could be individually” says Anders Smedberg, the owner.
