Navigators

Meet the Anglepoise Navigators: people finding their own way through design, creativity and making. Discover the individuals we work with, step inside their creative process and explore the ideas, influences and ways of working that help them navigate their craft.

Anglepoise Navigators is a community of creators, designers, makers and storytellers finding their own way through design, creativity and making. It’s a place to discover the people behind the work, explore their creative processes and see how ideas develop from first thought to finished piece.

Through Navigator Stories, we step inside studios, workshops and other creative spaces to learn more about the habits, tools and experiences that shape different ways of working. From traditional craft and hands-on making to contemporary design and creative practice, each story offers a different perspective on what it means to make, experiment and keep moving forward.

The idea of the Navigator has a particular connection to Anglepoise history. Our Original 315 Desk Lamp – Navigation Edition traces its origins to a specialist Anglepoise light developed for navigators working at chart tables in long-range maritime patrol aircraft. Today, navigation takes on a broader meaning: choosing a direction, solving problems and finding your own route through creative work.

You can meet the Anglepoise Navigators, read their stories and discover the projects, ideas and processes behind what they do. And if you’re a creator, designer, maker or storyteller yourself, you can find out more about joining the Navigators and collaborating with Anglepoise on products, content, events and other creative projects.

A celebration of purposeful work and the people doing it, Navigators explores creativity through the individuals finding their own way forward.
