What features did the Model 75 design have?
It had a range of features specific to this product design. The first was a round base that had a relatively small footprint for the work surface or table top. The fork had a more rounded profile, with an oval recess built into the fork which said ‘Anglepoise’.
Spring caps were often added and could be used for extra adjustability for the spring. Allowing you to change the free length of the spring itself to help adjust the tension. Nylon components would have been used throughout the linkage strip area while the swivel joint into the shade would have an all-metal construction.
The side arms would have used a extruded aluminium tube construction. While the top of the shade had a removable top, to enable maintaining the product and included a rocker switch. And the distinctive fluted shade was without a rolled edge, and was painted white inside.
