When owners Justin Hooper and Charlotte Seddon acquired this derelict World War 11 aircraft control tower set in 3 acres of farmland, the aim was to create a stunning family home in the Scottish Highlands. Intent on maintaining the hard core industrial aesthetic that had drawn them to the property, the 4-storey 4,000 square foot space has been sympathetically brought back to life, its progress followed every step of the way in a Channel 4 Restoration Man documentary. Authentic Crittall windows punctuate the matte black exterior where two Original 1227™ Giant Outdoor wall mounted lamps sit proud. Viewed from inside, the panoramic views are breathtaking; not least from the top floor master bedroom suite where the vista spans 360°. Anglepoise Navigator lamps had originally been used by the map readers at HMS Owl, inspiring Justin and Charlotte to install an extended series of Original 1227™ lamps throughout the interior; a selection that ranges from from desk and Giant floor lamps in the open plan living space and master bedroom, to flexible wall mounted lamps in the ground floor kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Further lamps will be added when restoration of an adjacent Nissan Hut is completed, providing bed and breakfast guest accommodation.
