Anglepoise Wins 'Design Icon' award

The National Trust Original 1227 Floor Lamp has won a Design Icon award at this year’s LivingEtc Style awards! We are absolutely thrilled that one of our National Trust collaboration lamps has been given this coveted award in the lighting category. Judges included Livingetc editor Pip Rich, Livingetc Editorial Director Sarah Spiteri, designers Alice Temperley, Eva Sonaike and Staffan Tollgard and journalist, broadcaster and tastemaker Pandora Sykes who together decided the Original 1227 Floor Lamp is one of ‘the best lights to fill your home with in 2022.’

‘Some may describe their look as industrial but I think there is a surprising elegance about the shape,’ says Pandora Sykes.

This Sage Green finish, based on the archetype of Anglepoise’s Original 1227, is a nod to the work of Europe’s largest conservation charity, with every sale raising funds for the National Trust (you can read more about our collaboration here).
